Tamale is our 4th dobe.  When our Angel & Indy had a litter of puppies, Tamale was so special he won our hearts and thus he became part of our heaven.  Tamale got his name from a friend of mine.  She said he reminded her of the hot tamale candy and so he became our Hot Tamale.  Tamale has a very unique & entertaining personality.  There isn't one day that goes by that he doesn't make us laugh at him for some reason.  He is so smart - he tries to help us every chance he gets.  One time my hubby was trying to level some dirt.  He left the roll of string outside for a minute and came back to find Tamale wrapping it around every tree in the yard.  Tamale has also been known to follow my hubby around carrying a screwdriver or hammer for him.  He is just a big helper.  We get the feeling that he loves to tease & play with us and often wonder if he is laughing at us instead of us laughing at him.  He likes to try and steal your socks as you put them on.  And he won't give it back until he has shaken it to his liking but he never chews any of them up.  It is just more or less his way of "helping us".  Tamale is a paw dog.  He will put his paw in your hand every chance he gets.  Sometimes he will even stand next to me if I am sitting and just rest his paw on my leg.  Tamale is a wonderful addition to our family.  Sure he is funny & playful, but he is also one of the sweetest most loving dogs around.  We couldn't imagine life without him.
