Loki is the 5th dobe to become part of our heaven.  He comes from Ohio also, but is not related to our Angel.  He was such a cute puppy, spunky and full of life.  He was meant to be my baby and also was the first dog acquired for the pleasure of showing in the confirmation ring.  However, life has a way of playing funny tricks on you.  As it happened, Loki decided in less than 2 days that he was going to be my hubby's dog, but that didn't deter me.  I still had plans to show him until life threw us another curve ball, and Loki's show life was put on hold due to a car accident we were in.  It was such a big disappointment to us because Loki is a very proud dog and knows he is a gorgeous boy.  He likes to use his looks to get whatever he wants and is really good for giving you a look that will make you melt.  He has my hubby wrapped completely around his paw.  When Loki wants us to pet him, he manages to get his way.  He will sit on the couch behind my hubby and put his paw on Sean's shoulder.  Sean removes the paw and Loki will continue to put it back until Sean pets him.  Heaven to Loki is being petted 24/7.  Loki doesn't care who is petting him but is content to sit there as long as he has someone's hand on him.  Loki can even be found at night sitting next to my hubby's side of the bed, waiting for him to wake up enough for a chance to be petted.  Sometimes I even wake up to find him laying at the foot of the bed on Sean's feet.  Even though his favorite person is my hubby, Loki just loves people and kids in general.  He is another great ambassador for the breed.  When people meet him, they are able to see just how gentle a dobe can be.  Loki also likes to ham it up when it comes to pictures and always has to be there if you have a camera.  He even barges in front of the other dogs to get in the picture.  He loves to have his picture taken so much that he is always posing for the camera, usually giving you his "proud" look.  When you see that look, you can understand why the dobe is called "noble".  Because of the unconditional and infinite love and courage stemming from that "proud look", we are left with such a tremendous feeling that our "velcro dog" will stand by our side for as long as he is able.  We can't help but feel warm and fuzzy inside when we look at Loki, knowing what a beautiful dog he is inside and out.  We are privileged and honored to love him.  He truly is symbolic of "man's best friend."  Well, we hope you love Loki as much as we do.  Enjoy his pics.
